The short answer
Student and low-budget productions usually need prop money to read correctly in one or two key shots, not dress an entire scene — which means the smart move is spending on the denomination and framing that shot needs, not on volume you won't use.

A single $50 or $100 stack covers most close-up and hand-held shots. Save a bulk order for the rare case where the scene genuinely needs a table, briefcase, or floor covered in cash — most student scripts don't actually call for that scale even when the script says "a pile of money."
Shooting tighter framing around a smaller amount of prop money is a completely standard technique — professional productions do the same thing when the budget doesn't match the scene's ambition, and it's invisible to an audience.
Every stack we sell is reduced-scale and marked NOT LEGAL TENDER regardless of order size, so a single-stack student order gets the same compliance standard as a full wholesale pack.

Frequently asked
Do I need a bulk order for a student film?
Usually not — a single stack covers most close-up shots; save volume orders for scenes that genuinely need a large visible pile.
Can tight framing make a small amount of prop money look like more?
Yes — this is a standard technique on low-budget productions and reads convincingly on camera.
